Feddo Tamminga

Feddo is your man when you’re looking for growth finance for high-tech innovations. Particularly sustainable propositions in special or challenging situations. Feddo has over 15 years of corporate finance experience, educating himself within investment firms, including Egeria (private equity) and Navitas Capital (family investment). He has a serious addiction to entrepreneurship, with four companies where he is either co-founder, co-owner or co-creator. And of course, all companies with a big green heart. 

Lars van der Veen

What about Lars? Well, put simply, he loves complex projects. Turning them into sound business cases for the long-term. Beware of Lars, he will challenge you and ask the difficult questions. Is he qualified to ask? Absolutely. He has a double MSc, both in Financial Management as in Marketing. Also, 10 years of hands-on experience, he specialises in fundraising ventures across diverse domains, including ClimateTech, HealthTech, and DeepTech, particularly within the semiconductor sector. He often provides strategic financial guidance, akin to a trusted advisor, and has played this role for the family business for over a decade. A busy guy!

Joris van Rijn

If you’re checking these profiles, you’re really doing your homework. Good for you, we admire your drive and dedication. What would you like to know about Joris? Well probably good to read that he has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance. Including Venture Funds: Residex, the captive fund of Achmea and later, Capital-C Ventures, a dedicated €50m VC fund, established by Joris with three partners. During his career, he has been a Managing Partner, a CFO, a Member of the Advisory Board, an owner and a shareholder. In other words, he knows what it’s like to be in your shoes. Ideally Joris likes to be one step ahead (in the shoes of the person in front of you).

Roeland de Wolf

Roeland has an entrepreneurial spirit and really believes in business ideas that have a purpose beyond making money. Really! He likes to think out of the box, in the box, around the box and with no box at all. Complex financial and strategic issues are for Roeland a joy. He has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Finance & Investments from Erasmus University.

Gijs-Henk Klein

Gijs-Henk has a problem solving mindset and loves working with passionate and ambitious entrepreneurs. Connection is important for him and he wants to go the extra mile to support you in your strategic and financial projects.  Gijs-Henk earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Erasmus University College and his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Valéry de la Haije

Valéry is an entrepreneurial individual who is energized by connecting with and supporting entrepreneurs. His passion for technology and finance reflects his curiosity, constantly seeking innovative solutions and fresh perspectives for companies that make societal impact.

Valéry earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Amsterdam and his Master’s in Financial Economics at Erasmus University. Alongside his studies, he gained hands-on experience through internships at M&A boutiques and a private equity fund, where he honed his ability to navigate diverse challenges. Just as he enjoys engaging in a variety of sports that push his limits, Valéry thrives in dynamic environments, whether it’s exploring different cultures or tackling the shifting landscapes of business and strategy.

Lukas van de Schepop

This is Lukas, a passionate individual driven by a strong will to have a positive impact on our future. Whether he is diving into the latest trends, learning new skills, or exploring unique places in the world, he is always seeking new experiences and challenges. After Lukas earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen he decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Finance & Investments at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. During his studies, he found he thrived most from solving challenges where the worlds of finance and strategy crossed, especially those with a lasting impact.

Tamar Zondag

Meet Tamar – a finance professional passionate about meaningful technology. With a Master’s in Finance and Investments, Tamar combines strong analytical skills with a curiosity for new solutions. Before starting her journey at Impulse, Tamar gained experience through internships at a strategy consulting agency and a private equity fund, learning how to spot opportunities in complex situations.

But the real drive comes from blending finance with purpose. Interested in how emerging technologies can change the future, Tamar focuses on supporting projects that have a positive societal impact. Whether it’s developing a business case for sustainable solutions or health innovations, Tamar is always ready to help out!

Hidde Holwerda

Hidde is an analytically strong and driven student who enjoys tackling complex challenges with a creative approach. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Economics at the University of Groningen, Hidde has continued to seek opportunities where strategic thinking, collaboration, and long-term impact come together. During his time in Groningen, he was an active member of a student investment society, further developing his interest in finance. He also co-founded a non-profit initiative that supported Ukrainian refugees relocating to the Netherlands, an experience rooted in teamwork and social commitment. With a sharp analytical eye and a practical, hands-on mentality, Hidde thrives in environments that value thoughtful problem-solving and working together toward meaningful results. 

Mees Pen

Mees is an analytically strong student who enjoys the combination of finance and strategy to solve real-world challenges. He enjoys exploring new areas of interest, especially those where theoretical concepts meet practical application. Furthermore, Mees thrives in environments with clear visions, where he can contribute to translating ambitious ideas into actionable strategies.

Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Economics, he gained hands-on experience in financial projects at a multinational. This sparked his interest and led to him pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance. Within this master he noticed that finance can be a means in tackling real-world challenges, which directly aligns with his interests.

Josephine van der Hage

Curious and analytical by nature, Josephine loves exploring how technology and entrepreneurship come together to shape the future. She gets energy from exploring how finance can accelerate innovation and discovering innovative tech start-ups that push boundaries. With a background in Aerospace Engineering, she enjoys diving deep into complex problems and finding creative, well-reasoned solutions.

At Impulse, Josephine is excited to combine her technical understanding with a strong interest in finance, using her analytical mindset to uncover potential and help promising ideas grow.

Marc Veen

Marc is a real leadership challenger with over 30 years of experience. Thinking out of the box, putting strategy and finance in realistic perspectives. As managing partner of Hayhill Capital Partners in London and Residex he has been involved in numerous investment processes and transaction executions. You have read it correctly, that’s how Marc and Joris met each other at Residex and worked together already 20 years ago. Furthermore, Marc was active as a director and board member at over 20 industrial, B2B-services and technology companies in Europe and North America. He has been an early initiator of several buy & builds in The Netherlands. His claim to fame – co-founder and chairman of Refresco from incorporation in 2000 to 2012 pre-IPO. Currently he is also non-exec Chairman of Verder Group and senior advisor to Nordian Capital Partners.

Jack Chen

Jack Chen is our man in Taiwan. As well as that, he is our technical adviser, an expert in semiconductors, with almost 30 years of experience in R&D, senior management and consultancy roles. He has seriously deep knowledge of high tech equipment, materials and EDA companies from all over the world. Most people would be proud to patent one idea, Jack is the inventor of 120 US patents. 120!
